STOP THE PIDGEON
Nei suoi esperimenti sugli animali, lo psicologo americano Skinner, mise un piccione in una gabbia collegata ad un dispensatore di cibo regolato da una leva all'interno.
"Come la maggior parte delle creature viventi, il piccione associa velocemente il premere della leva alla ricompensa.
Ma quando un timer rilascia automaticamente la serranda ogni venti secondi, il piccione si chiede: "Cosa ho fatto per meritarmi questo?"
Se in quel momento stava battendo le ali, continuerà a batterle convinto che la sua azione abbia una influenza decisiva su ciò che accade.
Questa è chiamata: la superstizione del piccione."

In his experiments on animals, the American psychologist Skinner put a pigeon in a cage connected to a food dispenser regulated by a lever inside.
"Like most living creatures, the pigeon quickly associates the press of the lever with the reward.
But when a timer automatically releases the shutter every twenty seconds, the pigeon asks: "What did I do to deserve this?"
